Scarey!!!!!

A couple of months ago I was taking Kaylee to the dermatologist for a rash, and I ended up making an appointment to get this little bump I had on my face checked out. First the doctor tried to freeze it off, and it didn't go away. Next she did a biopsy, and it came back as a little cancer. It's called a basal cell carcinoma, and they say it's the best kind to have. It's nothing to worry about, but you definitely want to get it taken care of. So They referred me to a surgeon and I got this surgery done yesterday. They had to numb it twice, and cut it twice. Does this look like nothing to worry about? I may be a little vein, but a big hole in my face looks like something to worry about! I'm trying not to freak too much because today I am going to have them do a skin graff, and hopefully it will all turn out ok. All I know is ever since I found out about my "cancer" I sure do use 50SPF any chance I get. I'll post later about the rest of my procedures!!!

Oh my goodness! That is crazy! I'm glad that you got it taken care of and that it's totally treatable. That scar looks like it hurts! But it will heal soon and then you'll be better than new!!

I hear ya on the sunscreen. My Mom has had lots of treatments of Basal Cell type cancer or whatever you call it (on her face). Blasted Vegas sun. It freaks me out. So glad you found out early! Hope you are feeling better. You have good skin and I think you will heal well! Yes, please keep us posted!!!

ohh... that looks really nasty! Oh my goodness! You need to get the Neutrogena Ultra sheer SPF 85 with Helioplex combined UVA/UVB protection! I tell you I use it on my white babies and they have yet to get any sunburn this year! I love that stuff!!

That had to be quite the scare to hear cancer, but it sounds like they caught it early. Is there anything I can do to help?

Kara, that sounds scary! Congrats on baby number four, how fun. I think four kids is a blast, it is definently non stop but worth every minute.
