I love The Rain!!!!

Is this kid cute or what? Yesterday Kelly, me, and Ky happened to be outside when it started to rain and Ky got the cutest little smile on his face watching the rain drops hit the ground. We decided to go out and sit on the back patio furniture and enjoy the rain. Jenna had my girls at a kindergarten graduation, and not long after the rain started Jenna, my mom, and all the kids showed up. At first my mom was holding Ky, and he would reach his arm out to touch the rain. He kept wanting to get down, and finally I said to let him go.

For some reason it floods pretty good in this area on our patio, and Ky was loving him some water. He crawled and crawled through the rain soaking every last bit of him. He would splash his hands in it, and laugh. He couldn't have enjoyed himself more.

Ky was never even phased by the thunder or lightning. Neither was I until today when I saw on the news that a lady and her little boy were struck by lightning while watching her other kids play in the rain. I don't know, but maybe it wasn't the safest thing to let our baby crawl in it.

On the other hand here is Kaylee, my 5 year old peeking through the window because she was scared of the thunder and lightning. I thought it was funny to see her peeking out at us. I think maybe it was a lot like her fear of fireworks. She's not too fond of really loud noises. Kenzie ended up down at the neighbors house and missed all the excitement at our house. She did come home with wet hair! I love the rain!

One last thing I want to say is how cute Kenzie is. Just a minute ago she came in and said something to me that she has been saying to me lately. All of a sudden she will look at me and say while rubbing my back, arm, leg, or even belly, " Mom, we're taking care of you." I think she is noticing that I'm getting uncomfortable with my growing belly, and that I'm tired a lot. It makes me laugh and smile when she says that. It also makes me appreciate what good kids I have!!!
