Halloween was not our usual this year and I was a little cranky about it. Me being the activities chair in our ward had to go to the tri-ward trunk-or-treat. We had oh I don't know about 5 people from our ward there, and Jenna and I had to stay till the bitter end to clean up. We didn't get to do our normal thing with grandma's and grandpa's, and trick-or-treating time with cousins was very limited. Needless to say Jenna and I were pretty bumbed about the whole Halloween experience this year, but our kids sure did look cute. Ok so this was the 4th time they got to dress up this year, and by this time Kaylee didn't want to wear her Hanna Montana wig. Also by this time I didn't care. We had Ky dressed up just like his daddy in a Las Vegas City Firefighters shirt and jeans. Kenzie actually let me paint her nose black with wiskers so people could sort of tell she was a kitty. All in all I think the kids had a fun Halloween. It was just their grumpy ol' mom who didn't. Oh well! I'm over it!

Sorry about the trunk or treat experience. It's is so hard to go on the actual Halloween night when the kids want to go around to the houses. Cute kiddies though :)
That's a bummer about the trunk or treat. But at least the kids had fun. I hope next year's better for you. Their costumes are cute.. Hope your doing well. Only a few more days left.. :)

I was bahumbug last year for the trunk or treat, and just decided I didnt want to do one.. so this year we did it the night before, and we had over 400 there. It was nuts. Id rather be in your boat :) my committee isnt that involved so its me and my friend.. good luck with the upcoming baby.. your kids are brinkerhoffs forsure! ps i saw your blog off brookes.. i promise im not stalking
That stinks! But I agree that the kids look really cute in their costumes.
Halloween made me a little grumpy this year too - but good for you for doing it anyway! Your kids look so cute. Kenzie is definitely a sassy little kitten!

Kara what I have always loved and still love about you is your honesty! Most people would be like it was ok.. your like, basically it was a waste of time!! HAHAHAHAHA! That would be me too!! The kids are soo freakin cute!
ok....so i totally know how you feel about halloween!! i too was pretty bummed but for other reasona. i AM the activites chair in my ward as well, but we did have a lot of peopl from our ward come. it was just our ward though. BUT the downside to it making it a bummer is that my comittee bailed on me as almost always. then i missed out on a lot with what my kids on what they were doing and pictures. i feel for you though!! good luck with the baby!! send me your email so i can send ya an invite to our blog!! rcbechtol2000@yahoo.com
