All tore up!!!

This is after the whole thing was done. Do I look beat up or what? I have to have the bandage by my ear on for two days, and the stiches in for two weeks. I have to have the bandage under my eye for one week. So BUGGY!!!!
Well here it is. The stiches by my ear is where they took the skin graft, and after they sewed that under my eye they sewed a little sponge like thing to my face to keep the graft in place. Weird huh?

Scary!!! I'm glad you got that taken care of. But, OUCH! I hope you are doing ok! And, fyi... I love that sunblock Melissa was talking about. It's so good for the face!

OMG! How scary! Its so good that they caught everything and are able to take care of it! Don't even worry about the scars! I just had surgery last August, and I had some pretty ugly buggers, and you can't even see them now! It's amazing to watch how your skin just heals it self! Good luck with the bandages, that would be the worst for me..I hate that part of surgery :) Happy healing!

Ouch! That does not sound fun at all. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but at the same time what a blessing that they were able to fix it. You have definitely inspired me to wear sunblock at all times.

I'm so glad you took pictures...It might sounds morbid, but I want to see what's under the bandages!!! I'm sure you can't wait to take the bandages off!

Ok... You need to put a disclaimer on your post that may make me faint!! Remember Im a Duke... We faint at the sight of stuff like that! Hope you feel better.. Let me know if there is anything I can do for ya! ... Can you take a shower? How are you suppose to wash your face? Look at me... All question crazy right now!!

Hey I want to see what's under the bandages too. Sorry Melissa I forgot you might faint! Haha! No I can't shower dangit! My mom very carefully washed my hair today, and I just took a bath. Now I feel somewhat decent besides the big bandages. When I go somewhere, which isn't often I'm like the big elephant in the room that no one says anthing about. (or however that saying goes) Thanks everybody for caring.

Ooh, Kara that is scary! Even with a wound on your face your still beautiful. I've been wanting to have my skin checked out but keep putting it off. I'm really gonna make an appt. now! Who did you see?

My original Dr. was Woodson, but she reffered me to this surgeon guy named Dr.Arnold. There's lots of good ones to go to though. I have heard good things about the Las Vegas Skin and Cancer Clinic too. You just make an appointment and tell them you want your whole body checked. Kind of weird, but so important!

Girl! That just looks miserable! I'm there with you about the 50 spf sunscreen! I was thinking about you when you were having your surgery. I hope all goes well now!

OUCH!!!! Sorry you had to go through that. That really stinks. Hope all goes well, just remember you can't make the scar go away fast enough. It always goes slower then you want! ;)
